Obituary
"For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4: 6-8.
Mr. Tony Allen Marshall began life's journey on January 3, 1962 to the parentage of the late Ms. Olar M. Marshall and the late Mr. Evon W. Marshall.
Tony finished high school in 1980 at Piedmont High School. He was a former employee of Springs Industries in Piedmont until closing. He was employed with the City of Piedmont for 9 years until his untimely death. Tony will always be remembered as a team player, as he loved playing community softball.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents Mrs. Charlsie Mae Jackson and Mr. Harold and Mrs. Hallie Marshall.
The death angel came and bore the bright spirit of Mr. Tony Allen Marshall at 4:10 pm on April 28, 2022 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife Mrs. Marlina Baker Marshall of Piedmont. His children, Gabrial Baker of Oklahoma City, OK; Kerry Marshall of Anniston, AL; Lamecca McLester (Andrew) of Alexandria, AL; Kayla Sayles and Kyonnia Brown both of Gadsden, AL.; ten grandchildren, two bonus grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. One sister, Sandra Mitchell of Huntsville, AL; two brothers, Parris Marshall (Rebekah) of Cedartown, Georgia; and Bernard Marshall (Mia) of Gadsden, AL; eight brother-in-laws, four sister-in-laws, three aunts, one uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
