ROBBIE GERALD ROBERSON

Robbie Gerald Roberson of Gadsden, Alabama passed away at his home on March 16, 2026, at the age of 73. Robbie was born on March 5, 1953.

He was a kind and loving Father of two sons and a mentor to many young athletes throughout his life.

Robbie graduated from Gaston High School in 1971 and attended Gadsden State Community College. He was a member of Tates Chapel Baptist Church.

Robbie worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber plant and he was Head Football Coach at Coosa Christian High School for a number of years. Later he moved to Memphis, Tennessee where he was a Manager of Sports Authority and a Fitness Equipment Trainer.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Roberson and two sons, Shane and Lance Roberson of Georgia, their Mother Pam Cannady of Gay, Georgia. Six grandchildren and one great Granddaughter. His sister Deborah. He also leaves behind his Service Animal and constant companion, his dog, Sippi.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Ray and Betty Roberson, brother Ray Roberson.

Graveside Service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Attalla, on Friday March 20 at 1:00 pm. Officiating the service will be Larry Garrard, Shane Roberson and music by Adam Walden. All family and friends are invited.

Faye and family would like to give a special thanks to Centerwell Home Health and Staff, Aveanna Hospice and Ashley Chambers. My deepest thanks to Dr. Layla Wren and Prestige Funeral Home and Crematory and Brandon Martin for their compassionate care and love during this difficult time.
