Noble Winfred Cylar

Noble “Winfred” Cylar, was born on October 15, 1952, the third of four children, to John and Mary Mitchell Cylar in Attalla, Alabama.  He is preceded in death by his father and sister, Cheryl Cylar.

Winfred graduated from Norris High School in Attalla.  He was employed by the State of Alabama for over 30 years.  After retiring, he worked for several funeral homes in the city of
Gadsden.

He joined Antioch Goodsell United Methodist Church at an early age and continued to be a faithful member until his death.  He served as a member of the usher board, male chorus, co-
chairman of kitchen operations, chair of the senior ministry, and a member of the board of trustees.

There was seldom a dull moment in his life.  He stayed busy fishing, gardening, helping others, watching Auburn football games, as well as attending local football and basketball games.  He enjoyed helping coach his grandchildren’s sporting activities.

He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Mary Cylar of Attalla, AL; brothers, Kenny Jerome (Sadie) of Farmington Hills, MI; Benny (Lujuann) of Pomona, CA; daughter, J. Nicole Wilson (Joel) of Rainbow City, AL; three grandchildren, Damien (DJ), Aurelia, and Carlos; nieces, Erica and La Shauna (Albert); nephews, Bryan (Sokhim) and Marcus; several great-nieces and nephews, Brianna, Jocelyn, Briana, Brenia, Lavir, Albert (AJ), Candace, and Jada; and a host of loving and caring family and friends.
