JOHN TURNER was born October 21, 1949, to the late Walter Price Turner Sr. and Harriett Turner. He was the fourth child born from that union. He accepted Christ at an early age. John graduated from Ruben Yancy High School. After graduating from high school John was drafted into the United States Army and he later transferred to the United States Marine Corp where he served in the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Turner, his father Walter Price Turner Sr., his mother Harriett Turner, his brother Walter Price Turner Jr. and his sister Patricia Parker.
He leaves behind countless memories to be cherished by his loving children: John Lamont Turner, Brian(Angela) Turner, Kentarra Turner and Alonna Baswell; Sister Doris Hobson, grandchildren Keyonna Blunt, Bryan Turner Jr. (Bubba), Tanaiesha (Shay) Jones, Abrianna Turner, Mance Turner, Dazaree Turner, Jakayla Marbury, Elijah Turner, Jazmyn Jones, Morgan King, Aniyah Turner, Laken Denzmore, Linzee Turner and eight great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
