Joanna Underwood was born the 15th child of Earnest King and Margaret King on December 25, 1947.
She received her formal education in the public school system, where she would earned her high school diploma from Shiloh High School.
In 1978, Joanna joined Move of God Deliverance Tabernacle under the leadership of Pastor Willie Ford where she remained a faithful member for 43 years. It was during this time that she would accept her call into the ministry. In 2000, Joanna preached her first sermon in Goodwater, AL.
She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. But above all, she loved sharing the word of God.
Joanna was preceded in death by her parents Earnest and Margaret King; Sisters, Leola King and Ann King; Brothers, Robert King, James King and Percey King.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Earnest L. Underwood; Children, Roy (Freda) Hutcherson, Rosaland ( Antonio) Graham, Maryland(Johnathan) Vines, Eric Hutcherson and Erica Hutcherson; Step-daughters,Teresa Underwood-Jones and Evon Underwood; Siblings, Bessie Baron and Lula Jett, Earnestine King, Georgia Eavin, Julia King, Katie King, Willie King and Melvin King; Brother-in-laws, Jimmy Underwood, Clarence Underwood and Nathaniel (Shirley) Underwood. She leaves twenty-eight Grandchildren, twenty-eight Great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
