Mr. Henry Calvin Jelks was born on October 17, 1951 to the late Mr. Nathaniel L. Jelks and late Mary Alice (Ingram) Jelks in Glencoe, Alabama. Henry was preceded in death by his mother and father and two sisters; Diane Jelks Brown and Margaret Ann Love and a host of other relatives.
Henry graduated from Glencoe High School. He was dedicated to his past jobs at AAA Plumbing Pottery and Good Year Tire and Rubber Company in Gadsden, Alabama. On Saturday, March 27, 2021, he departed this life.
Henry leaves: his wife, Darine Jelks; children, Lamar and Jerod Barkley; siblings Elizabeth English, Linda Sue Jones, Elaine Jelks, Mary Belinda Ingram, and Tommy Ingram; one uncle Daniel (Lula) Jelks; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and devoted friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the American Cancer Society. A family only gathering will take place outside of Holy Ghost Revival Center on Keysburg Rd. in Glencoe, AL on Saturday, April 3rd at 11:00AM.
The family is thankful for all of the kind gestures of love for Henry and the family.
