Celebration of Life for Mr. Eddie Garlington, Sr., will be held at 12 O'clock noon on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Antioch United Methodist Church with Pastor William Crawford, officiating. Interment will follow in Rainbow Memorial Gardens.His memory will be forever cherished by his children, Edna (Fletcher) Ragland, Julia Thompson, Eddie(Penny) Garlington Jr., Larry (Louise) Garlington, Allen Garlington, Cora Garlington, Danny Garlington, Quayla Garlington and Candi Horton, Andre Waker; Sisters: Frankie Rogers, Stella Rogers, and Lucille Marbury, Brother; Clemon Rogers; Grandchildren: Marcus Ragland, Tommy Davis, Derrick Thompson, Kenya Garlington, Rudy Garlington, B.J. Brooks, A'lei'k Garlington,(who he raised as his own) Brandon Baker, Dana Garlington, Deja Garlington and Stephen Garlington; 15 great- grandchildren; Tommy Jr., Trent, Tyson, Kyontae, K'yana ; Quaysha'lae (who he raised as his own) Jett, Malik, Faye, Billy Jr, Shayla, Brooklyn and Malaysia, Mina & Hana. Special family friends Jalania Lewis, who provided so much love and attention in helping us care for him during his illness, and Carol White who traveled from Texas to provide support and assistance in caring for him; a host of special nieces, and nephews, friends and relatives. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the funeral home from 6-7:30 p.m. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service.
