Cornelius “Bro” Miller was born the 4th child of Willie “Jack” Miller and Annie Jo Tolbert-Miller on May 24, 1950. Cornelius attended Carver High School with the graduating class of 1970. He served in the United States Army from 1971 until he was honorably discharged in 1973. He was a faithful worker for The Greater Gadsden Housing Authority for more than 30 years.
Cornelius transitioned peacefully at home on April 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Annie Jo Miller, his brothers, Don Eddie Tolbert and Ormond “Mickey” Miller, and his sister, Jackie Miller Tyner.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his three amazing children, Cornelius “Butter” Miller, Jr., of LaGrange, Georgia, and Deirdra “Tina” Miller and Catera Miller of Gadsden, AL; two brothers, Willie (Carrie) Miller of MD and Fredrick (Sharon) Miller of Attalla, AL; one brother-in-law, Willie Tyner of Montgomery, AL; a very special aunt, Beatrice Lindsey of Gadsden, AL; special cousins, Tony (Ekra) Tolbert and Diona Tolbert of Gadsden, AL; special friends, including, Merchelle Weston and Mr. Kenny; grandchildren, Ashley (Brandon) Allen, Brandon Bustion, and Tamela, Ursula, Paris, Orlando (Keivia), and Breyona Miller; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will always hold a special place for him in their hearts.
