Cassandra English, 50, peacefully transitioned to her eternal rest on January 16, 2021. Ms. English was born to Mary English on June 8, 1970 in Lincoln, Ala. She was educated in the Gadsden City School System, graduating from Litchfield High in 1988. She was always athletically gifted and lettered in basketball and track. She was also crowned the 1987/1988 homecoming queen.
She accepted the Jesus Christ as her savior while serving at Holy Hill Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Edward Thomas. She later fellowshipped at New Destiny Church under the leadership of Bishop Steve Smith.
Cassandra was loved by everyone and generally never met a stranger. An amazing cook and entertainer, her Sunday meals and card parties were legendary.
She was preceded in death by her sister Iphadella English and grandparents Lucille and Willie English.
She leaves to forever cherish her memories her loving daughter Briona English; two devoted sons Jamicheal Kinchens and Jevon English; granddaughters Jelaya English and Aaliyah English; grandson Javeion English; mother Mary English; aunts Sallie Lett, Melissa Britt and JoAnna English; brothers Rodney English, Jerry English and James (JaVita) English; Nieces Talessia English, Cassey English, Trevia English, Mattena English, Montrenia English, Marissa Parsons, Candace Gadson, Ariana English and Jauna English; Nephews Navendra (Roxanna) Woods, Bralan Gadson, Shawndez English and Jerry English Jr; Special cousins Lashunda Freeman, Larissa Freeman and Tafeni English and Theodorick Thomas.
Special friends Brenda Mostella, Teresa Macon, Chet Cato and Sherrell Timmons. A host of other friends and relatives will forever love and miss her.
