Angela Mericia Coleman Riggins Thrash was born on August 29, 1962, in Gadsden, Alabama to Deacon Lonnie and Annie Coleman. She confessed hope in Christ and united with the Shiloh Baptist Church in Gadsden, Alabama.
She was a member of Emma Sansom High School’s graduating class of1980. Angela attended Gadsden State Community College, where she participated as one of the dancing Southern Bells. While attending Jacksonville State University, she was a member of the Marching Ballerinas.
Angela began her professional career with Quality of Life Health Services, Inc. She was an employee for 29 years. With a smile that would light up any room and an infectious laugh that would brighten anyone’s day, Angela never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Riggins, Sr; her father, Lonnie Coleman; her mother-in-law, Bernice Thrash; and her sister, Daphne Coleman.
Among those left to cherish her memory are: her loving husband, Edmond “O’Shea” Thrash; their children, Thomas Riggins, Karrissa Thrash, Kentoria Thrash, and Monique Thrash; their grandchildren, Dontrel Thrash, Tatyana Davis, Jordyn Crayton, and Quaderrius Truss, Jr.; her mother, Annie Coleman; her brothers, Lennie Coleman and Isaiah Coleman; her sisters, Jacqueline (Edvan) Stanley and Zevobia (Ted) Shine; father-in-law, John Thrash; brother-in-law, John (Fannie)Thrash; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many dear
and precious friends.
