Sandra Delores Bostick-Pointer was born the 8th child to the late Samuel Bostick and Claudia Bostick on September 2, 1953. She received Christ at an early age under the Pastoral leadership of Rev. Gabriel Cook at First Baptist Church in Green Pastures.Sandra received her formal education in the Gadsden public school system where she earned her high school diploma graduating from Carver High School class of 1971.
Later, she began working with Anniston Army Depot as a Material Expediter. She received numerous promotions, with her final one being the Capacity Planner. Sandra retired in July 2011 after serving 36 years.
Everyone knew her as a Master Gardner and a Cake Boss. She enjoyed working in her garden, making elaborate cakes and spending time with her grandchildren. Sandra “ T Dusty”, as she was affectionately known, was admired and loved by many.
She was preceded in death by both parents Mr. Samuel and Claudia Bostick; one son, Darrell Pointer and one brother, Ira( Janice) Bostick.
She leaves to cherish her many memories a devoted husband, Wayne Pointer; sons, Milton L.( Sheretta) Bostick, Tobia L. (LaQuiche Dean) Bostick, Kenneth F.( Patrice) Marbry II, Wayne M. ( Quanlendra) Pointer, Dexter Russell, Shaquille Pointer and Mustafa Pointer; Daughters, Nakiesha Pointer and Lynsy Pointer and Angela Brown; Sisters, Earline Hatcher, Annie D. Johnson, Geneva Crook, Virginia “ Ginga” Jackson, Darryl Lynn Marbry, Cynthia Madden and Rebecca Bostick; One Brother, Samuel( JoAnn) Bostick; Brother-in-laws, Harry ( Jeanette)Bentley and Carnovsky “ Skeet” (Kathy) Bentley; Grandchildren, Tobrelyn Bostick, Michael Bostick, Myles Bostick, Tomari Bostick, Kenneth F. (Trey) Marbry, Kellan F. Marbry, Amariya Marbry and Carter Pointer; Special friends, Dorothy Ball, Patricia Orr, Celestine Macon and Margaret Bentley. She leaves a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
