Obituary
Ms. Bertha Lee Bell was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. George and Emma Lue Bell in Union Town,Alabama. She was the fourth child of five children.
She accepted Christ and received salvation at an early age. Bertha became a part of the Gadsden community in the fall of 1997. Bertha embraced the Gadsden community and befriended everyone she met. She never met a stranger. Bertha served her community volunteering at Goodwill store in the consignment section. Bertha enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, feeding the birds, and exploring the city of Gadsden.
Ms. Bertha Lee Bell was preceded death by two sisters and one son. She leaves behind two daughters and one son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank the nurses and hospice team from McGuffey’s Healthcare and Gadsden Regional Medical Center for their excellent care and making of Bertha Bell’s last days as peaceful and comfortable as possible. We thank Prestige Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory and New Liberty Tabernacle of Praise Assembly of God for the love, support, care shown during this time and special thanks to friends and residents of Baptist Retirement Village II. You all welcomed and treated Bertha Bell like family. We appreciate and are thankful for the love, kindness, and care shown.
