Barbara Lois Rudolph was born June 1, 1951, to Charles Graves and Louise Childs, who both preceded her in death. Barbara transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, September 13,
2021, with her beloved family and loved ones by her side. She was preceded in death by her sister, Millie Faye Ragland.
Barbara accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and joined Mount Zion Baptist Church in Attalla, Alabama. She met and married Tommie Rudolph on July 3, 1977. To this union were
joined two children. Barbara was very gifted and talented in many areas. Her greatest passions were floral arrangements and cross stitching. Being so passionate about flowers, she went to Gadsden State Community College and received an advance certification in Floral Arrangement. She created many beautiful pieces with her cross stitching skills and had a “green thumb” for plants. Barbara’s favorite vacation trips were any beach that she could get to!
She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband and best friend, Tommie “Foo”; two daughters, Tonia Rena of Huntsville, Alabama, and Tonya Jean of Chattanooga, Tennessee; three brothers, Eugene (Vanessa) Childs of Chicago, Illinois, William “Bo” (Darlene) Graves of Attalla, Alabama, and Carl (Linda) Graves of Attalla, Alabama; three sisters, Verna Ann (Bennie) Garrett of Gadsden, Alabama, Charlene Boley of Sacramento, California, and Alease Hill of Gadsden, Alabama; four sisters-in-love, Betty Blount, Loretta Blount, Flora (Herman) Sandridge, and Sybil (Carl) Lewis; six grandchildren, Shalandra, Ciedah, Zoe, Kyshundra, Alford, and Shakyla; and six great-grandchildren. Barbara had and was her own “Angel” (Nailah); a loving and devoted aunt, Emma Childs; and a host of very devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
